HGQ Inc. members excel in New Zealand Hickory Championship
Australia was represented in the New Zealand Hickory Open held at the Christchurch Golf Club on Monday 13 March 2023 by Bruce Collins, Greg Mellifont, Alan Grieve, Peter Monks, Andrew Baker, Darron Watt. All, save for Darron, HGQ Inc members.
That event was preceded by the International Anzac Flask played on the Friday 10 March 2023 over 9 holes Foursome and Singles with Australia beating New Zealand by 2 strokes 110 to 108.
Former HGQ Inc. president, Andrew Baker and Darron Watt blitzed the field in the mornings foursomes. Bruce Collins and Andrew Baker were 1st and 2nd in the Singles matches in the afternoon.
The Australian team (HGQ Inc team) went on to score well in the NZ Hickory Open with Bruce Collins winning the net competition followed by Andrew Baker in second place and Greg Mellifont third.
