Player of the Year Event Rules.
- Only the events noted on the 2024 Schedule of Events will be included in the POTY competition.
- To qualify for the POTY prize a player must have competed in at least 7 eligible events in the 2024 calendar year.
- In the event of a tie after the November event, the tied players will play 18 hole Stableford to decide the winner. If the scores are still tied after the playoff the prize will be shared.
- 18 hole and 36 hole events only count as a single game for the purposes of the minimum number of events requirement.
- In a foursomes event, each player in the team will be awarded the full POTY points ie. The winners will receive 15 POTY points each.
- Only financial members of HGQ are eligible to win/earn points this event.

Any ties for position will be resolved by countback.
General Rules:
- Only financial members of HGQ are eligible to collect prizes at HGQ monthly events.
- Only financial members of HGQ are eligible to compete in the Player of the Year event.
- Only financial members of HGQ are eligible to receive a ‘hickory handicap’. Visitors will play off their GA handicap or scratch.
- The HGQ handicapper can adjust players handicaps as they see fit.
