Norman von Nida Trophy
16 December 2021
Hickory Golfers Queensland's final event of the calendar year was a triple treat with final round of the Queensland Hickory Masters being played in conjunction with 2022 Norman von Nida trophy followed up by the Christmas dinner. We thank RQ for welcoming Hickory Golfers Queensland to the venue.
The weather was on our side for the final round of the year. A hot sunny day and the course being prepared for the upcoming Australian PGA made for a great day of hickory golf.
David Mansfield lapped up the conditions and had 43 stableford points (73 off the stick) to win the von Nida beret.
The Secretary had his best round of the year to come in with 39 points to take second place.
Always close to the lead, Bradley Tatnell had 35 points for third place.
PLAYER OF THE YEAR
The player of the year award went to Bruce Collins. Bruce showed consistent form throughout the year and is a deserving winner.
Christmas Dinner
Christmas dinner was well attended and an enjoyable evening. Thanks to the team at Royal Queensland for providing a quality meal with great service.
Congratulations to all the winners over the last year and we hope to see growing fields for next years events.
Merry Christmas and Happy new-year from HGQ.
