Monthly Event - June 2022
A field 13 teed it up on Friday 25 June at Royal Queensland for the monthly event.
The course was in great condition with firm fast greens and perfect fairways. Thank-you to the greens staff at RQ for the presentation of the course.
The weather also was perfect for golf...Brisbane winter golf is a real joy.
The day went to Treasurer Tatnell with a fine score of 17 points. Peter Monks took second place on a count back from Mervyn Ross each on 15 points (also on 15 points was President King-Scott who was his normal gracious self in finishing off the podium).
The postponed events, The Bobby Jones Trophy and the Qld Foursomes have been re-scheduled and the Foursomes will be played on 8 August and the Bobby Jones on November 19 and 20. The full details are on the website.
The Player of the Year (POTY) competition is heating up half way through the year. It will be interesting to see how the big events will change the leader board.
