Monthly Event - May 2022
A field 12 teed it up on Friday 27 May at Royal Queensland for the monthly event.
After rain had forced the postponement of the Bobby Jones and Queensland Foursomes Championships earlier in the month it was great to get a fine day to play hickory.
Players must have been a bit rusty due to the extended wet weather as scoring was not easy (apparently).
Mr Consistent, Bruce Collins produced the best score of 17 points with Ilija Soldan being runner up with 15 points. Treasurer Tatnell pipped President King-Scott on a count back for third each with 13 points.
The postponed events, The Bobby Jones Trophy and the Qld Foursomes are to be re-scheduled and it looks like the Foursomes will be played in August and the Bobby Jones in September. The details are yet to be finalised and all members will be notified when the dates are locked in.
The Player of the Year (POTY) competition is starting to take some shape after 4 monthly events.
