Monthly Event - February 2023

On Friday 3 February eleven players met at Royal Queensland Golf Club.

It was a very hot day - a heat wave in fact- and many of our regular players opted out.

Just before the first group hit off a North Easterly breeze cooled things down.

Spirits were high and good scores were recorded the best of which was Mr Consistency,  David Jones,  with a great score of 22 points.

Congratulations to David on a great score in very difficult conditions.

The recommendations for a performance enhancing drug test were rejected.

Thanks again to RQGC for their continued support and to the course maintenance team who presented the course in picture book condition.

Also, thanks to Ross Bishop for the tremendous job of course layout requiring the placing of Tee Markers and the recovery of same.

Thanks also to Hon Secretary Phil for his work in communicating with members for the play of the day details including planning, score cards, recording of results etc making it so easy for us to just turn up and play.

We all miss our popular President and we hope that both Rob and Susan are enjoying their holiday.
