The Australian PGA had just finished the grandstands were still in place and players could imagine the applause of the gallery as they played to tough pin positions on fast greens.
18 players hit the links for the November event. The ladies are enjoying their hickory with 5 girls teeing off. Welcome back to Kim Storie and great to see that Janette Lim enjoyed her first game so much that she joined HGQ and fronted up again.
Special mention also goes out to Arthur O'Shea. Arthur has had a medical time-out and we were all delighted to see Arthur on the course.
As is often the case the new member took home the wine. Janette had a fine score of 19 points to win the day. Second place went to Kim Storie with 18 points. Philip Akes picked up third with 17 points on a countback from Ross Bishop, Peter Kyffin and Bradley Tatnell.
The Player of the Year competition was resolved at the November event with this years winner being Bradley Tatnell.
The 4 point club
To celebrate his return to hickory golf Arthur O'Shea proved that his short game is still sharp and was the only player to record a 4 pointer in November .
