Norman von Nida Trophy

Fourteen hickory golfers participated in the final event of the calendar year the Norman von Nida trophy followed up by the Christmas dinner.   We thank RQ  for welcoming Hickory Golfers Queensland to the venue.

The weather was on our side for the final round of the year after days of wet weather and threats of cancellation due to course closure.  Although the greens had been recently cored, putting did not seem to be affected at least by the winner. 

David Jones won with 42 points. David is a previous winner of the event and seems to covet it as his own!

PLAYER OF THE YEAR

The player of the year award this year again went to Bradlley Tatnell on 84 points with Peter Kyffin coming in second with 75 points.  Bradley, with only one win, nevertheless, showed consistent form throughout the year.

Four Point Competition

We were happy to see Arthur O'Shea back play hickory golf after an absence of several months due to hip surgery. Arthur tied with Mark Heiser  with four 4 pointers each shared the prize donated by Bradley Tatnell. Thanks Bradley for your generosity.

Christmas Dinner

Christmas dinner of turkey and plum pudding. An enjoyable evening. Thanks to the team at Royal Queensland for providing a quality meal with great service.

Congratulations to all the winners over the last year and we hope to see growing fields for next years events.
